Use Log activity for something that already happened: a call, a Zalo or WhatsApp message, an email or a meeting. Hire saves your words as a note and Flo proposes the rest for you to approve.
- Press ⌘ E, or select Log activity in the sidebar, in ⌘ K, on the phone bar’s New or in a record’s More menu. Nothing listens yet.
- Select Start or press Space, then say who it was with and what happened. On a phone or tablet, tap Start.
- Press ↵ or select Done.
- Check Here’s what I’ll file, then select Approve N or press ⌘ ↵.
Type instead
Press Tab or select Type instead to type, before or after you start talking. Your words so far move into the text box. Speak instead goes back to listening. In the text box, ⌘ ↵ is Done.
If you select Start and the microphone is blocked, or today’s voice time is used up, Log activity moves to the text box and says why. If voice isn’t set up for your agency, Log activity opens on the text box.
More options shows the Channel (Call unless you pick another), + Follow-up, and the record when you opened Log activity without one. Save activity saves exactly what you set, without Flo.
For a Telegram chat, a Facebook message or a coffee, see How to log a chat on another channel.
What Flo files
- The note. Your own words, saved at once on the record with the channel Flo heard. When you say how a call went, such as no answer, the note keeps that too. Undo removes it.
- Changes to approve. A follow-up task, a stage move, a CCM the client booked for a day, changes to a candidate’s role, salary or notice period, and a contact’s job title when they told you their role, wait on one card. Approve or deny each, or approve them all. To edit one first, open it in Tasks › To review.
- Flo moves a stage only when the candidate has one live application at the company you named.
- When the candidate agreed to be put forward to a client, Flo proposes recording that on their application, so Prepare CV out can tick it.
- A value the record already holds is left as it is, and Flo says so.
When a name fits several records
If you opened Log activity from a record, the note goes on that record. Otherwise Flo looks up the name you said. One exact match is used. When several records could fit, Flo lists them with their role, job, stage and last contact. Press 1 to 9 or select one. Nothing is saved until you pick. Someone new called opens the record search.
Press Pause to think. Record more after filing adds another note on the same record, when voice is set up for your agency.
Find a past log
Your logs are in Meetings, under Past, beside your meetings: the notes Log activity saved, a call’s notes and your Echo voice notes. Select the Logs View to see only them. After you save, View on the confirmation opens the log there.
Select a log to open it beside the list. It shows the whole note with Edit and Archive (archiving offers Undo), the record it’s on, and the changes Flo proposed from it, with Review in To review for any that still wait for you. See Past for the columns and filters.
From your phone
A voice log you record in Echo files the same way, without opening Hire: one record named saves the note there, and the rest waits for your approval. See Voice logs.
