# Pipeline stages

> The stages an Application moves through, and the states beside them.

An Application links one Candidate to one Job. It moves through fixed stages:

| Stage | Meaning |
| - | - |
| Application | The person applied, for example through a board's apply address. CV review works here. |
| Long list | Sourced, searched or progressed from review. |
| Short list | You plan to put them forward. |
| Outreach | You are contacting them. |
| Interview | You are interviewing them. |
| CV sent | The client has their CV. |
| Client rounds (CCM) | The Job's own client rounds, for example 1st and Final, set per Job. |
| Offer | The client made an offer. |
| Placed | Done. Create a placement from here. |

Where an Application starts depends on how it arrived: applicants start at **Application**, people you add or find start at **Long list**.

An Application's consultants, its Job's owner, their Managers and Admins move it, edit it and archive it. Everyone else sees its stage and fields read only, and can ask Flo to send the change to the owner.

## States

| State | Meaning |
| - | - |
| Active | In the live pipeline. |
| Kept for matching | Rejected for this Job but available for others. Rejected is a state, not a column. |
| Closed | Out, with a closed reason. |

On the CCM board, colour shows progress: second and later client rounds are amber, Offer is green.
