# Ask Flo
> Search, jump, create records and ask Flo to do work, from one bar.
Press ⌘K or / anywhere. Type to search records, jump to a page or create a record. Choose **Ask Flo about** to send your words to Flo.
Before you type, **Recent** lists the records you opened from the bar in this browser. A record that was deleted, archived or merged since leaves the list; a merged one is replaced by the record it was merged into.
The bar floats at the foot of every page, on one line with your name in the sidebar. A list's footer ends just above it. The credits for company logos (Logo.dev) and places (GeoNames) are on the [Subprocessors page](https://hire.skillflo.ai/privacy#credits), not on each page.
## What Flo can do
Flo sees the page you are on and uses the same actions as the buttons in Hire. Ask in plain words, for example:
* "Which jobs have no CVs sent this week?"
* "Draft the ideal candidate from the JD."
* "Move Phạm Quốc Huy to Short list."
* "Import these three sheets."
Changes you ask for are saved with **Undo**. Bigger or riskier ones wait for your approval in **Tasks › To review**. See [How Flo approvals and Undo work](/guides/explanation/flo-approvals-and-undo).
## Long work
Flo keeps working when you close the tab: the Flo page shows what is running. The Ask Flo bar counts the changes that wait for you, for example **3 to review**, and opens **Tasks › To review**. When Flo needs a choice, it asks with a question card.
If Flo goes quiet for a minute and a half in the middle of a reply, the chat says **Flo stopped answering. Retry to ask again.** instead of Working. When **Stop**, **Discard** or a dismiss on Today doesn't go through, Hire says so and leaves the work as it was.
Each chat has its own link. If a link names a chat that was deleted or belongs to another member, the Flo page says **Hire can't find this chat**, and you can start a new one below.
The chat list and **Recent** show only the chats you started. What Hire does on its own, such as finding people in your mail and Echo, running your Rules and sorting mail, does not appear there: its changes wait in **People we found**, **Tasks › To review** and the record's Activity.
## Talk to Flo
Hold ⌘ ⇧ Space to talk and let go to send. On Windows, hold Ctrl Shift Space. Tap it instead to keep Flo listening, and press it again to send. Esc cancels.
If the shortcut does nothing, another app may be using it. Click the mic at the right end of the Ask Flo bar instead.
